Best Breakfast Places in Beloit, WI: 3 Breakfast Restaurants and Brunch Places to Try

Double B Farm Country Store and Cafe

Double B is a local institution and open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 am until 3 pm. Everything they make here is from scratch, so be prepared to wait just a bit while they make it for you. Totally worth it, though. Be aware that Double B is cash only, and they don’t take reservations. They’re a working farm, so they’re open when they’re open, and everything you eat comes fresh from the fields and barns!

They’ve got a great breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and bacon, ham, or sausage on different kinds of bread. The breakfast bowl is our favorite: we like to order pancakes with pecans to go with it. Their omelets are also delicious, particularly the gyro.

Bessie’s Diner

Travel north up 51 just a bit for a hidden gem that opens from 7 am until 2 pm every day of the week. Yes, it’s slightly out of the way, but boy is it worth the short 10-minute drive. They have absolutely fantastic food, the best brunch you’ll find anywhere in Wisconsin, and even a book club for the kids.

Their menu has standards, like eggs benny, all kinds of pancakes, waffles, and french toast choices, and our favorite: the Bessie’s Stack, which is, as you can imagine, a stack of cheese, eggs, sausage gravy, hash brown, and pico de gallo. But Bessie’s also has amazing specials that pop up, like banana bread pancakes and waffles, and you have to get there fast to try them.

Bagels & More

Don’t let the name fool you: this isn’t your run-of-the-mill bakery. Yes, you can get their amazing bagels by the single, half-dozen, baker’s dozen, and more or just order a single bagel with toppings like an egg, cream cheese, or peanut butter and jelly. But you’ll want to sample all the amazing things on their breakfast and brunch menu.

Try any of the omelets, which are made fresh to order and come with bread or bagel and fresh fruit. They also have a plate of lox and cream cheese with fixings to eat with bagels, biscuits and gravy with their own homemade gravy, and a veggie breakfast burrito that will knock your socks off. If none of that appeals to you, try their muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, or coffee cake; or have a bowl of their housemade granola.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so don’t miss out. Visit one of these great places for a morning meal you won’t forget. When you’re done and full, stop by Finley GMC for great service and a great selection of vehicles.
