With 15,000 lakes, Wisconsin has more lakes than any other state in the contiguous forty-eight. Not to mention the impressive forty major waterfalls. There are many fantastic weekend getaways within driving distance! Here are five getaways that are sure to help you recharge while exploring our great state!
Devil’s Lake State Park
Just an hour and a half northwest is Devil’s Lake State Park, our largest state park. Sure, there’s fishing, boating, and swimming, but have you seen the photos? This is the perfect place for your inner photographer. The lake is massive with over 300 acres of water. Hiking and rock climbing are also popular. Devil’s Lake is said to have the best hiking in Wisconsin Dells. Bonus! The park is open year-round! Check it out at S5975 Park Rd. in Baraboo.
