The area is famous for serving such local delights as fried cheese curds and brats, but did you know that there are also some amazing Chinese restaurants too? If you’re out in town this weekend and are looking for some of the best Chinese food in the state, here are some of our favorite spots you should consider.
China House
Situated at 2240 Prairie Avenue, China House is one of the best places to go for all things Asian. The diverse menu includes a wide range of Chinese classics alongside a mouth-watering selection of Japanese stir-fries, sushi rolls, and even hibachi options.
With its relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and excellent food, China House is a place you will definitely find yourself returning to again and again.
Happy Wok
Head over the border to South Beloit, IL and you will find this gem. Located at 356 Prairie Hill Road, next door to Bravo Pizza and Italian, Happy Wok consistently serves up the finest, most flavorsome Chinese food in the area. The menu includes many Chinese staples such as egg foo yung, sweet and sour chicken, and Szechuan shrimp, and there are also many Thai options if you fancy trying something a little different.
China Palace
A few miles drive over the border, and you will come across a town called Rockton which boasts this fantastic spot. When it comes to deliciously authentic Chinese cuisine, China Palace is the best place in the area. The joint is located at 625 South Blackhawk Boulevard, and it’s easy to spot with its bright red, quirky exterior. Once you get through the doors, you’ll be treated to the succulent aromas of freshly roasted meats and aromatic stir-fries.
Chinese food is always great to take home to eat in front of the TV, but unfortunately, China Palace doesn’t deliver. Luckily, with the 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine on the new GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, you’ll easily be able to get your food back to your family while it’s still piping hot!
